About Us

Aileyn and Jean are sisters who share a passion for art quilts. They grew up in South Dakota and have now lived in Walnut Creek in the Bay Area of California for many years. Aileyn’s body of work focuses on the natural world and is most often realistic. Jean’s eye finds interesting architectural details, so her work can feel more abstract. They have the same interest in fine workmanship and they are each other’s most trusted consultant. They are also very good friends so you often see them together at art-related gatherings. They are members of Studio Art Quilt Associates, San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles, and the International Quilt Museum. They exhibit their work extensively; SAQA Global Exhibits, Quilt National, Visions, IQF Houston, and the Pacific Northwest Quilt & Fiber Arts Museum in La Conner, WA.
